How to Play (Instructions)

Master Rock-Paper-Scissors with Reflexes
"Brain-Training Rock-Paper-Scissors" is a reflex-testing game where you must instantly select the correct hand gesture—Rock, Paper, or Scissors—based on the opponent's move and a specific command: "Win," "Lose," or "Tie." Although the rules are simple, the game requires perfect coordination between thought and action.

Rules
The opponent's hand (Rock, Paper, or Scissors) appears on the screen, accompanied by a command to either "Win," "Lose," or "Tie." You must quickly tap the correct hand gesture from the options provided to match that command.

Increasing Difficulty
As you progress, the display time shortens and the commands appear in random order, demanding faster decision-making and quicker reflexes. The game maintains a sense of tension as you aim for a high score through consecutive correct answers.
Cognitive Functions You Will Train
Training Inhibitory Control and Processing Speed
This game effectively trains inhibitory control—the self-control ability to suppress reflexive moves and select the appropriate one based on instructions—and processing speed—the ability to instantly recognize visual information and accelerate the sequence from judgment to action. Players must instantly choose the correct move in response to an opponent's displayed hand, following instructions to "win," "lose," or "tie." The process of making decisions while rules randomly switch between these three outcomes also stimulates attentional shifting—the ability to flexibly switch one's thinking between multiple rules. As the game progresses and the display time shortens, reflexes and the ability to sustain concentration are strongly challenged. These cognitive functions are primarily linked to brain regions centered on the prefrontal cortex; repeated play can lead to improvements in split-second decision-making and multitasking abilities in daily life.
