Increasing Difficulty
As you progress through the levels, the game demands greater attention to detail and flexible thinking; challenges intensify through longer character strings, more complex hiding patterns (such as vertical, horizontal, diagonal, or reverse layouts), and increasingly abstract themes.
Cognitive Functions You Will Train
Sharpening Visual Search and Language Processing Skills
This game trains visual search skills—the ability to extract specific patterns from a vast amount of information—and language processing skills—the ability to recognize words within sequences of characters—by challenging players to find hidden words amidst a sea of letters. The process of searching for words arranged vertically, horizontally, diagonally, or even in reverse also stimulates attentional flexibility and working memory. Repeated play can lead to improvements in reading comprehension and attentiveness.
